Ash becomes ink, stone becomes breath — a personal portfolio of art and witness.

I am Story Ember leGaïe — genocide scholar, poet, artist, sculptor, and photographer. My work lives where survival and creation meet, where memory insists on form and silence breaks into voice.

I am mother to five extraordinary adults and grandmother to one luminous child — my grounding, my continuity, the living thread through everything I shape.

Here, poetry carries grief into rhythm and resilience into song. Sculptures carve fracture into form. Photographs hold witness to fleeting beauty. Words gather wound and wonder alike, refusing erasure. My books — published, forthcoming, and in process — stand here as offerings: presences against forgetting, testaments to endurance.

Ash becomes ink. Stone becomes breath. This is my home of witness and making. Welcome.
